The article considers consequences of effects of the social political conditions on the development of the primary school of Transcarpathia in the second half of the XlX-th century. In particular, reveals the content of reform in the elementary education, which were carried out by the Government of Hungary. Among them - the
organizational (socio-political and socio-economic conditions of the reforms) and the pedagogical (objectives, principles, content, outcomes) components of reform.
