The article is devoted to the study of the influence of the institutional and organizational component on the socio-economic development of the Carpathian region. In particular, it has been proved that the most important influence on the activation of cross-border cooperation in the border regions is by the local state administrations and chambers of commerce and industry, as well as business associations, regional development agencies and Euroregions. At the same time, the effectiveness of the work of local self-government bodies on the Ukrainian side is significantly less effective than that of neighbouring Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.en_US
