Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the development of the emotional sphere of children in a boarding school. The influence of socio-psychological conditions of upbringing is studied and a training program for the development of emotional competence of adolescents is tested. The results confirmed the effectiveness of the training in the formation of self-regulation and emotion management skills, which contributed to the development of emotional competence of adolescents.
